Meet Victoria Anders

Hey Ya’ll! Victoria Anders is my name and writing is my game (in the evenings and weekends, once that day job is done). Thanks for stopping by.

I don’t consider myself a writer; I’m a storyteller. Ever since I can remember, I’ve had all sorts of stories running through my head. Those stories went haywire when my daughter started high school. And what is more fun that writing about high school escapades? I’m super excited to share those stories with you.

Originally a born and bred Atlanta chick, I currently reside in the land of sunshine and barely a winter just north of Tampa, Florida with my hubby and two large and loveable pups. If you sneeze, then you miss the one day we MAY have temperatures around freezing. And yes, I do talk with a southern drawl.

Growing up, I hated English. I think it’s because my English teachers never cared for me. I couldn’t pick out the main idea of a paragraph to save my life. Everything seemed important to me. I did love to write though. I wrote several poems that were published in my high school’s literary magazine.  I thoroughly enjoyed yearbook staff: writing crazy copy while eating Krystal hamburgers and designing layouts with pica rulers, cropping tools, and grease pencils. I found my true writing self in college, but didn’t start venturing down that path until many years later when I started on my first book My Life as Marlee (book 3 in the My Life series).

For the day job, I work in my PJ’s or workout clothes from home for myself at Alt 19 Creative, a service provider for small publishers and indie authors. I design book covers, interiors, and eBooks. I’ve had the privilege of working with many great authors over a decade now. Prior to working in publishing, I worked as a freelance graphic designer and marketing consultant. I spent several years in high school and college working at an amusement park.
